MY STORY

From a local home, to a life on the trail.

Some places are best explored on foot.

Not because they’re difficult to reach, but because walking allows you to notice the details that are otherwise missed — the changing light on the mountains, the quiet village streets, the scent of pine forests, and the conversations that make a journey unforgettable.

That’s the experience I hope to share with every guest.

I’m Ece — a local guide, ultra trail runner, yoga instructor, and passionate nature lover. The mountains and villages of western Türkiye have shaped my life for years, and today I have the privilege of sharing them with visitors from around the world.

A Local Perspective

The trails we walk aren’t just routes on a map.

They’re paths I’ve explored through training, hiking, and everyday life. As someone who calls this region home, I know its landscapes beyond the viewpoints — its quiet villages, seasonal changes, local traditions, and the small details that most visitors never get to experience.

Walking with a local means discovering not only where to go, but also understanding the stories behind each place.

Moving with Purpose

My background as an ultra trail runner has taught me endurance, respect for the mountains, and how to move confidently through nature.

As a yoga instructor, I’ve learned something equally important — the value of slowing down, staying present, and enjoying the journey rather than simply reaching the destination.

These two worlds come together in every walk I lead.

The pace is relaxed.

The atmosphere is welcoming.

And there’s always time to stop, take in the view, capture a photograph, or simply enjoy the silence.

What You Can Expect

When you join a walk with me, you can expect:

  • Small groups for a more personal experience
  • Local knowledge beyond the guidebooks
  • Carefully selected trails and authentic villages
  • A relaxed pace with plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings
  • A genuine connection with nature, culture, and local life

Whether it’s your first hike in Türkiye or one of many adventures around the world, my goal is simple:

To help you experience western Türkiye the way a local does.

WHAT MATTERS TO ME

The values behind every walk

Responsible Travel

Walking with Respect for Nature and Local Communities

At Walk with Ece, every walk is about more than reaching a destination.

It’s about moving thoughtfully through landscapes that people have called home for generations. The forests, mountain villages, and trails we explore are living places, shaped by nature and by the communities who continue to care for them.

I believe that responsible travel begins with simple choices.

Staying on marked paths.

Respecting local traditions.

Supporting small family-run businesses.

Leaving nature exactly as we found it.

Travelling more slowly.

These small actions help protect the places we love while creating more meaningful experiences for everyone.

When we walk with care and curiosity, we don’t simply visit a place—we become part of its story, even if only for a day.

That’s the kind of travel I believe in, and it’s the experience I hope every guest takes home.

Let’s Walk Together

I believe the best journeys aren’t measured in kilometres.

They’re measured in the memories you take home, the people you meet, and the places that stay with you long after the walk has ended.

If you’re looking to explore beyond the usual tourist routes, I’d love to welcome you on the trail.

Walk Slowly.

Connect Deeply.

Walk Like a Visitor. Leave Like a Local.

See you on the trail.

Why Walk with Ece?

More Than a Guided Walk

Walking is about more than covering distance.

It’s about discovering places with someone who knows them, understanding the stories behind the landscape, and taking the time to experience every step.

When you walk with me, you are in safe hands.

That’s the philosophy behind Walk with Ece.

Every walk is personal, thoughtfully planned, and designed to help you connect with western Türkiye in a meaningful way.

Being a local guide helps me share the stories of this region.

Being an ultra trail runner helps me choose the best routes.

Being a yoga instructor reminds me that walking isn’t about speed — it’s about presence.

Together, they shape every walk I lead.

Guided by an Ultra Trail Runner

As an ultra trail runner, I’ve spent countless hours on these mountains.

Years of trail running have taught me how to choose routes that are enjoyable, safe, and rewarding for walkers of different abilities.

Your safety and enjoyment always come first.

We’ll walk through traditional villages, peaceful forests, mountain trails, and landscapes that many visitors never discover.

A Local Who Knows These Trails

These aren’t routes I’ve learned from a guidebook.

They’re places I’ve explored for years—running, hiking, and spending time in the mountains that I proudly call home.

From quiet forest paths to remote villages, I know these landscapes through every season, and I love sharing them with others.

You’ll experience western Türkiye through the eyes of someone who truly lives here.

A Mindful Way to Explore

As a yoga instructor, I believe every walk should have its own rhythm.

There is no pressure to walk fast or reach the finish line as quickly as possible.

We slow down.

We breathe.

We notice the details.

We enjoy the journey.

Sometimes the most memorable part of a walk is simply stopping to appreciate the view.
